	Formed in 1988 to meet the popular and ever increasing demand for live music at social functions, The Finishing Touch string quartet consists of professional musicians who met whilst studying at the London conservatoires. The Finishing Touch are highly experienced and have performed in a wide variety of different styles, both in the formal setting of the concert hall as well as providing quality background music for social functions. They can provide the perfect atmosphere and add the “finishing touch” to: Weddings (at the service and / or the reception) Parties and dinners Launches and openings of ........ Conferences
	Their list of repertoire demonstrates their versatility, being equally at home with popular classics to over one hundred arrangements of light ballads, the majority of which have been arranged by their 'cellist. A string quartet is one of the most versatile instrumental ensembles, so you can be sure that we will be performing a selection of music that is pleasing to everybody’s taste. Special requests for specific pieces are always welcomed. If a favourite piece of yours is not already in their repertoire this can be arranged for you at little cost. As well as providing music for weddings, dinners, parties and corporate events, The Finishing Touch string quartet has been sponsored to play for companies (such as BMW), the stars (such as Esther Rantzen) and the Henley Regatta. The Finishing Touch work primarily in Berkshire, Sussex, Hampshire, Surrey and Wiltshire, but are more than happy to perform further afield. At times work has taken the quartet abroad. The Finishing Touch also give formal recitals and children’s concerts and guest artists have joined the quartet to extend the possible repertoire to include works with piano, clarinet or flute.
